Today, I'm thrilled to share with you an incredible idea from Rachel, the talented artist behind Roxy Creations, and Guest Artist on FLOWERS MAGIC ART FEST 2023. Are you looking for a new and exciting way to add a touch of magic to your art journal pages with embroidery and stitches?

Do you have a stash of old clothes or tablecloths with beautiful floral embroidery patterns just waiting to be repurposed?

I'm thrilled to share with you an incredible idea from Rachel, the talented artist behind Roxy Creations, and guest Artist on FLOWERS MAGIC ART FEST 2023.

This idea will give you another tool to have a box full of ready-to-use embroidery pieces that you can use to embellish pages on your art journals or junk journals or create beautiful tags to add to your journals.

This idea involves collecting beautiful embroideries inside a tiny box. These delicate and versatile embroidered flowers are then repurposed into handy pins, ready to be used whenever she needs them. How clever is that?

Upcycling Floral Fabrics

I decided to delve into my own collection of clothes with floral designs and floral embroidery. Instead of letting them go to waste, I realized I could upcycle these fabrics and breathe new life into my art journal pages. By cutting out various floral motifs, I could create a vibrant collage of textures and colors - a true celebration of nature's beauty.

We all love to have ready-to-use embellishments to add to tags, art journal pages, and junk journals. Ephemera and collage pieces never are too much.

In this video, I share how going through some old clothes can bring you a box full of embroidery pieces or floral printed motifs on which you can hand stitch some flowers.

It’s an amazing idea.
